Is it possible to ship meat and sausage in the summer?
Yes, thanks to our innovative, sustainable packaging made from recycled paper , shipping is possible without any concerns even on very hot days.
How is the goods cooled?
If your package contains refrigerated goods , they will be cooled with ice packs made of pure water . The package is also insulated with our innovative, sustainable packaging made from recycled paper.
Do I have to be at home when my package is delivered?
Our shipping service provider, GO! Express, has a delivery authorization to leave packages if no one is at home . While our packaging keeps items cold for up to 48 hours , you should always ensure someone is available to receive the package . It may also be advisable to have your package delivered to your workplace . You can safely keep the package sealed in a cool place until the end of the day. If, despite all these measures, you are not at home, GO! Express will attempt to contact you.

How can I dispose of the packaging?
The insulation and cardboard can be easily recycled along with the waste paper. The cooling material consists entirely of water, so the bags can be cut open, emptied, and recycled.
Can I return the packaging?
Unfortunately, returning the package makes no sense from an ecological or economic perspective. Due to food safety regulations, we are not allowed to put the package back into circulation.
How are the products packaged?
Almost all products are individually vacuum-packed . Only a few smoked products are simply wrapped.
Are the vacuum bags suitable for sous vide?
Yes, all of our vacuum bags are suitable for sous vide cooking. However, if the bag contains a so-called bone cloth , we do not recommend cooking the product sous vide. The bone cloth is waxed, and the wax would liquefy.
Product questions
Can meat that was shipped frozen be refrozen even if it arrives thawed?
Because our sustainable packaging ensures the cold chain is never interrupted , you can refreeze the products without worry . More details here.
If I order multiple pieces of one item, will I receive them all at once?
If you order multiple pieces of an item, you will, of course, receive the requested number individually packaged in the weight/quantity specified in the shop.
How do I freeze meat properly?
Meat should be frozen as quickly as possible, i.e., cold . It is recommended to use the coldest compartment of the freezer. Ice crystal formation is greatest between -0.5°C and -5°C. This temperature range should be reached as quickly as possible to minimize cell damage and thus minimize meat juice loss.
How do I defrost meat properly?
Meat should be thawed as gently as possible. Ideally, this means removing the meat from the freezer 1-2 days before use. Thaw gently in the refrigerator at approximately 4°C. This prevents the meat from losing too much juice and minimizes bacterial growth .
